Meet Your Therapist for Narcissistic Abuse and Relationship Trauma Recovery in Middle Georgia
If you’re here, you may already feel the weight of confusion, emotional pain, or self-doubt after experiencing narcissistic abuse or toxic relationship dynamics. You might be questioning your reality, feeling disconnected from yourself, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together.
I’m Lisa, and I help women make sense of these experiences so they can begin to rebuild trust in themselves, develop clarity, and move forward in a way that feels more grounded and aligned with who they are.

Clinical Background and Credentials
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia (License #LPC008571), practicing since 2015. I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), providing supervision and guidance to counselors in their clinical work. My licensure can be verified through the Georgia Secretary of State.
In addition to my clinical training, I hold a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), which allows me to thoughtfully and ethically integrate spirituality into the counseling process when it aligns with your values and preferences.
Experience in Trauma and High-Stress Environments
For a significant part of my career, I worked in a Level 1 trauma hospital, supporting individuals and families during some of the most overwhelming and life-altering moments they would face. In that environment, I witnessed firsthand how trauma impacts not only mental health, but a person’s sense of safety, identity, and connection to others.
That experience continues to shape the way I approach therapy...with steadiness, perspective, and a deep respect for each person’s story and pace of healing.
Specialization in Narcissistic Abuse and Relationship Trauma
A central focus of my work is helping women heal from patterns of narcissistic abuse and relational trauma — experiences that can deeply impact identity, self-trust, and emotional well-being.
These dynamics often include gaslighting, manipulation, emotional neglect, and control, and can occur in romantic relationships, families, workplaces, or faith-based environments. Because these patterns are often subtle and cumulative, many women struggle to fully make sense of what they’ve experienced.
The work that we do together centers around:
-
Make sense of relationship patterns and their impact
-
Rebuild self-trust and emotional clarity
-
Process trauma responses and chronic stress
-
Strengthen boundaries and personal agency
-
Develop a more grounded and authentic sense of self

A Trauma-Informed, Whole-Person Approach
My approach to counseling is integrative and trauma-informed, meaning I consider the whole person — not just symptoms. Therapy explores the connection between mental health, physical well-being, relationships, stress, lifestyle, and, when desired, spirituality.
Healing is not just about working through what’s painful — it’s also about creating a life that feels steady, supportive, and aligned with who you are.
Supporting Healthcare Professionals and Caregivers
I have a particular heart for supporting healthcare workers and those in high-stress or caregiving roles. Through my work in medical settings, I’ve seen the impact of vicarious trauma, emotional exhaustion, and the pressure to always be the one holding things together.
Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to carry that alone.
More About Me
Outside of my professional role, I’m a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, and I understand the complexity that can exist within family and relational dynamics. These experiences continue to shape the way I show up in my work with care, perspective, and nuance.
In my own life, I value balance and whole-person wellness — whether that’s through movement, time outdoors, travel, or simply slowing down with a good book or a cup of hot tea. These rhythms are a reminder that healing isn’t just about working through the hard things, but also about creating a life that feels meaningful and your own.
